TEN SERMONS YOU CAN PREACH
ANCHOR WORDS <<The music of God never ends, only the dancers get tired. As you open your eyes to see the light of today,so also your eyes will be open to see the favour, mercies, blessings and riches of God. Doors of opportunities shall be open unto you everywhere you go .Good day readers and have a lovely time while reading. Here comes Ten short sermons you can preach for personal evangelism :
(1). GOD ALWAYS GIVES THE BEST: JAMES 1:17 (KJV)Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning .Over the ages, there have been erroneous interpretations about the person and attributes of God because many had not come to an intimate understanding of His identity. Some christians for example believe that whatsoever that happens to them is from God, whether good or bad. This understanding however is a recipe for a sub-glorious living.James revealed one of such erroneous assumptions when he wrote to the believers. He explained that God cannot be tempted by evil neither does He use evil to tempt us. It is one truth that many have not embraced. How can God, who sent His only son Jesus to destroy sin in turn use an out-product of sin to tempt you? Yet many assume God tempts them when sin, sickness and death in other forms is seen in their living. There is no sin with or in God. James concluded rightly in the communication when He said, when you do that, you err (James 1:16) The Apostle went further to reveal what really comes from God. He said “ Every Good gift and perfect gift”..When anything manifests in your living there is one sure way to judge the source, whether it is from God or otherwise; Is it good and perfect or on the contrary? This reality makes you strong to resist all that is not perfect knowing it is not from God. The good and perfect gifts of God come with the peace of God in all godliness and righteousness. Sometimes there is an appearance of good but what comes from God is lasting and draws the receiver more to God. God is good, all the time.DECLARATION: I have received the Holy Spirit, the perfect gift of God. In all ways and at all times I discern and know the gifts of God. I dwell forever in the peace of God through His perfect providence. Glory to Jesus forevermore.
( 2 ). THE TWO WITNESSES ,REVELATION 11 :“And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.” Revelation 11:1, 2 Here we see an angel talking about measuring something; measuring in prophecy refers to judgment. We know that Jesus started a special judgment on October 22, 1844;called the Investigative Judgment. This verse tells us who was being ‘measured’ or judged here, it is ‘the Temple of God’. What does this mean? It means God’s people. Everybody that has ever claimed to belong to God has his name written in the Book of Life. But not all these people will go to heaven. Why not? Well, take Cain and Abel, they both claimed to belong to God. Abel was faithful and obedient; but Cain was disobedient, became a murderer and never repented. When Cain’s name was looked at in the Book of Life, unconfessed sin was there, and Cain’s name was blotted out and his sins retained in the book of sin. He won’t be in heaven. So on and on the process goes, judging the dead by the records of their life, and whether or not they had unconfessed and unforsaken sins in their record. This grand judgment is taking place, and has been going on for some time. The Lord says, measure the temple and the worshipers thereof. Remember when you are walking the streets about your business, God is measuring you; when you are doing your household duties, when you are talking to others, God is measuring you. Remember that your words and actions are being recorded in the books of heaven. It says that God is not measuring the ‘court’, but it is left to the ‘Gentiles’. This means that in this special judgment that happens before Jesus can come back for His people, the world, described here as the court and the Gentiles are not looked at. These are people who never even claimed to belong to God at all; they were just not interested. They are lost, and will be judged later.
(3) POWER THROUGH THE SPIRIT: But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth (Acts 1:8).Some Christians assume and believe that prayer produces power. So, they say, “a prayerless Christian is a powerless Christian,” but that’s not stated anywhere in the Bible. Notice our theme scripture; Jesus didn’t say you’ll receive power after you’ve prayed. I believe in prayer, but prayer doesn’t bring power. Power comes from the Holy Ghost. Power is the dynamic ability to cause changes. That means we can effect changes in our lives and that of our loved ones, and even in places where we desire to see changes. We’re not supposed to be victims in the earth, but many Christians live as victims; they’re captives of adverse circumstances. But Jesus said you shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you. Jesus was never a victim, yet many of God’s children have been victims in one way or the other.1 John 3:2 says, “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.”*_ When you were born again, you were born as an offspring of God; through the Holy Spirit, you have power. No need to ask Him for power, for the power is already resident in you. All you need to do for the power of God in you to be manifested is to stir it up (2 Timothy 1:6). Glory to God! PRAYER :Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for the power at work in me, through the Holy Spirit. Nothing is impossible for me, because as I activate the power in me, I bring calmness and order to every situation, in Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 2Timothy 1:6Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. Ephesians 3:20-21 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him [be] glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
(4). THE SUPREMACY OF GOD: Genesis 22:7-8 KJV [7] And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering? 8] And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together. God will provide Himself.... This phrase captures the very heart of God.He will not ask to be pleased by our gifts . Rather His gifts are for His pleasure. At the very heart of redemption is the sacrifice of Jesus. At the baptism of John, God expresses His pleasure. His perfect will. Matthew 3:17 KJV [17] And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. He is well pleased in His sacrifice. His Son. His manifestation. Hence John puts it simply ,John 1:29 KJV [29] The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. He is Jehovah's Lamb. God made flesh to be the sacrifice for sins. He never desires(d) offerings from us to justify us.For the prophets had spoken. Psalm 40:6 KJV [6] Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required. All the offerings of yore never could do. Hebrews 10:1,4,11 KJV [1] For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. 4] For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. [11] And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:All the animal offerings, seed offerings, tithes and the likes brought no perfection. They Had not His pleasure. But wait ? Does this imply a God so difficult to please ? Aren't we doomed? No we are not . For Jesus had clearly told us... John 3:16 KJV [16] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.God will Him all that will save and justify us. This is the crux of redemption . The very heart of salvation . Abraham knew this.John 8:56 KJV [56] Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it , and was glad. And He acted on God's promise to actualize every detail by Himself.Hebrews 6:13 KJV [13] For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, For all His promises were personal commitments not requirements for Abram or any man to accomplish 2 Corinthians 1:20 KJV [20] For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. All the promises are in Him fulfilled.Romans 15:8 KJV [8] Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers: He fulfils the covenant. His covenant. All by Himself. We are not covenant responders or actualizers. We are receivers.Galatians 3:16-17 KJV [16] Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.17] And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. There's not a single demand for performance. The Performer is God in Christ. Abram saw this and acted on it. By faith.Hebrews 11:17-19 KJV [17] By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son , 18] Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:19] Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure. God was(is) able. Not Abram. He only received . Faith receives What God has Done. What He did in Christ.God is already pleased in His Son, When we are in Him. He accepts us. He is just as pleased.Ephesians 1:5-6 KJV [5] Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, [6] To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. Accepted means He is pleased with us. The beloved here refers to His Son, Jesus.Hebrews 11:6 KJV [6] But without faith it is impossible to please him : for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Before we go looking for faith to please Him. The writer calms our restlessness .Hebrews 12:2 KJV [2] Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Jesus authors and perfects faith for us and to us. He gives us His faith .Romans 10:17 KJV [17] So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. When we hear His Word. We believe. We receive.Faith doesn't come from us to God in order to please Him. It's His gift to us, when we accept it, its work in us is believing. It's this occurrence with the gospel Ephesians 2:8 KJV [8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Grace thru faith is His gift. For We have nothing to offer or add to what God himself has offered and done.Deuteronomy 32:4 KJV [4] He is the Rock, his work is perfect...We mustn't be blackmailed into performers . We are believers .Just like Abraham ,we are receivers .Romans 4:16,20-25 KJV [16] Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, 20] He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21] And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. [22] And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. 23] Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; [24] But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; 25] Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. God is the performer , He gives to us anything Is requires This is our God! Have a blessed day ahead .Jesus is Lord, We win!
(5) GOD HAS THE BEST IDEA: Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters, as the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God, until He has mercy on us. (Psalms 123:2) Have you ever faced a situation you thought was impossible? One in which there seemed to be no way out, no solution, no possibility of resolving it, positively? The back-story of our text today is that, there was a drought in the land, and everyone suffered. Crops failed to grow, no grain to harvest, nothing to buy or sell, and the struggle to survive hit the most vulnerable widows and children, the hardest hit. And now, God had chosen and sent prophet Elijah to the specific town, Zarephath in Sidon, to an unnamed widow, to supply the prophet with food. The scene sounds like, May be God forgot to tell the widow, as verse 12 suggests! Here's the problem: the widow, probably not the only one, had been telling God that the solution to her problem was for rain to fall. If the rain fell, the crops grew, the harvest came in, the marketplace bustled again, and she would be able to buy grain, make flour, and provide food for herself and son. The widow had it all figured out, but God had a different solution (another idea), because He is a highly imaginative God, who sees far into the farthest future, and projects wide, ahead. God's solutions are not limited by time, space, or human inability, or impossibility disposition. God always has a better idea, on most cases, different from man's, in a given situation, and at a given time. He doesn't need rain, or logic, to feed the people. Jesus proved that with the feeding of the five thousand (Matthew 14:16-21) Remember that God isn't limited to the solutions you think of. That is why He is God. He has great, better, and most applicable solution, for every situation (cf. Isaiah 55:8,9). Your God has another idea to solve it.
PRAYER POINTS 1.Oh Lord, You alone have the only idea that can bail me out of every situation of my life. Help me to always look unto You at every junction.
2. Lord my God, show me Your own way out of this impossibility.
3.Pray that God should use every means to get the attention of our political leaders for the benefit of the masses.Remain Blessed!
(6). KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT:In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, but he who restrains his lips is wise.(Proverbs 10:19).Self-control is one of the hardest things to master. Think over these noble sayings: People who like to judge others need to keep the verdict to themselves. This is because It is better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid, than to open it and remove all doubt! God knows our weaknesses, even after we got born-again, and He also knows the remedy. We make promises to improve on several things, but except the Holy Spirit helps us, we would still find it difficult to overcome and gain control over many things that are inside us! The fruit of the Spirit is self-control over senseless, blasphemous, poisonous and hurtful words. We need to always open our minds, over every conversation engaged in, and situations faced, before we open our mouths. Joel Osteen once said, If you cannot be positive, then at least be quiet. When you talk too much, over too little a matter, you are sized up. Sometimes, the best thing to say is nothing, because some people are not even worth your words. This is how Jesus Christ silenced His interrogators while they sentenced themselves to God's wrath and judgement. Then Pilate asked Him again, saying, _"Do You answer nothing? See how many things they testify against You!"_ But Jesus still answered nothing, so that Pilate marvelled (Mark 15:4-5).And all the people answered and said, "His blood be on us and on our children" (Matthew 27:25).Your greatest accomplishment today might just be that you keep your mouth shut, when negative thoughts seem to overwhelm your emotions, lest you would be sized up as stupid.PRAYERS:1.Lord my God, season my speech with grace and truth, that I may always build up people, and not tear them down.2.Lord, help me to know when to be silent, and when to talk, so that I don't misfire in words.3.Lord, help the Christian marriage counsellors to know what to say at the right time, to settle crises in homes around them.
Remain Blessed!
SATANIC MIRACLES: And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. Revelation 13:13. As the people of God approach the perils of the last days, Satan holds earnest consultation with his angels as to the most successful plan of overthrowing their faith. He sees that the popular churches are already lulled to sleep by his deceptive power. By pleasing sophistry and lying wonders he can continue to hold them under his control. Therefore he directs his angels to lay their snares especially for those who are looking for the second advent of Christ and endeavoring to keep all the commandments of God .We are warned that in the last days he will work with signs and lying wonders. And he will continue these wonders until the close of probation, that he may point to them as evidence that he is an angel of light and not of darkness.Satan will come in to deceive if possible the very elect. He claims to be Christ, and he is coming in, pretending to be the great medical missionary. He will cause fire to come down from heaven in the sight of men to prove that he is God.It is the lying wonders of the devil that will take the world captive, and he will cause fire to come down from heaven in the sight of men. He is to work miracles; and this wonderful, miracle-working power is to sweep in the whole world. Some will be tempted to receive these wonders as from God. The sick will be healed before us. Miracles will be performed in our sight. Are we prepared for the trial which awaits us when the lying wonders of Satan shall be more fully exhibited? Will not many souls be ensnared and taken? By departing from the plain precepts and commandments of God, and giving heed to fables, the minds of many are preparing to receive these lying wonders. We must all now seek to arm ourselves for the contest in which we must soon engage. Faith in God's word, prayerfully studied and practically applied, will be our shield from Satan's power and will bring us off conquerors through the blood of Christ.
(7). ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE IF YOU BELIEVE :Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23).In Mark 9, a man was so helpless and came to Jesus. His son had been taken over by an epileptic spirit. The man, desperate and in dire need of help, told the Master, “…ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us”*_ (Mark 9:22). You might be in a similar condition today and are completely at sea as to what to do. You might even be pleading like that man, asking God to do just anything and have compassion on you. I’ll like to tell you this: brighten up! Notice the Master’s response: "…If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth”* (Mark 9:23). What a message to a frustrated and desperate father who had gone everywhere seeking help! Notice that Jesus didn’t say it depends on how long the matter has been, how serious the case is or how much you can pay for it! He only said, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes.”Can you believe today that you’ve been made whole in Christ? Can you believe that He’s already granted you all things that pertain to life and to godliness? That’s what the Word says: all things are yours (1 Corinthians 3:21). Believe and act accordingly. To believe doesn’t mean to expect something to happen in the future: that is hope. Believing is acting your faith; putting your faith to work now.Believing is the verb of faith. That situation you’re in right now, isn’t God’s sentence. Believe and affirm that there’s a change. Affirm that things are turning out for your good, just like Romans 8:28 says: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purposPrayer:Dear Father, thank you for causing faith to rise up in my heart today and for the blessed assurance that comes in your infallible Word. I reach out with my faith and I appropriate all that you have for me today. I walk in health, victory and your supernatural blessings, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.Luke 18:27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God. Mark 11:2 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive [them], and ye shall have [them].
1 Corinthians 3:21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours.
(9).FAVOUR:For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightlyPsalm 84:11 My dear friend, have you ever watched a soccer match without knowing who was really playing? As you watched for a while, you began to notice the side that was losing. Most of the time, we tend to instinctively support the losing team. As they say, "People support the underdogs."That support you have for the underdogs is a God-given instinct to support the disadvantaged.Today, if you are in a disadvantaged situation, be it known unto you that God is on your side. The Lord is helping you right now! It may seem as though you are disfavoured, but that is what provokes God.The Bible says very clearly that when God saw that Leah was not liked, He compensated for it by showing divine favour. And when the Lord saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb: but Rachel was barren.Genesis 29:31God opened the womb of Leah and gave her children. Suddenly, Leah was a favoured person. She was the only one who could bring children into the family.Dear brother or sister, perhaps you consider yourself to be in a disdvantaged position. That is the reason why Jesus is giving you extra favour. He is going to change your misfortunes. You don't have to be discouraged. Today, remember these words: the Lord's favour is upon your life!!Start your day with a blessing!!
(10).THE HOLY BIBLE...holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
2 Peter 1:21,The wisest, most godly and honest men in this world acknowledge the Bible as the Word of God. Only infidels and ungodly people reject the Bible. The Bible was written by honest and godly men; it condemns all sin and records the sins and faults of its writers as well as others. The Bible is superior because it claims to be the Word of God. Bible writers assert that God spoke what they wrote. The Bible meets all man's present and eternal needs. The response of humanity to this great book shows that it is of a supernatural nature. The Bible is superior in its moral and spiritual power. The Bible is also superior in its miraculous nature. Hundreds of miracles are recorded in the Scriptures. Miracles happen daily among those who pray and claim Bible promises. The Bible is always up to date on every subject. It was useful to people who lived a thousand years ago and is still relevant for those who live in the twenty-first century. It can be applied to the lives of people who live in Africa, Asia, Europe or America. The doctrines of the Bible surpass all human ideas or principles of relationships, religion and culture. The Bible has been preserved through the ages. God has made the Bible indestructible and victorious. In comparison to other books, the Bible is superior because the heavenly and eternal character of its contents proves it to be inspired by God.“All things work together for good to those who love God.”Romans 8:28 NKJVGOD SAID, “I have found David…a man after My own heart, who will do all My will” (Acts 13:22 NKJV). When God says that about someone, you’d be wise to observe that person’s life. David started out as a shepherd and ended up as king. The chances of that happening were zero. Shepherds were so low on the social totem pole they couldn’t testify in a court of law because their word wasn’t considered reliable. Yet David ended up writing the most widely read psalms of all time. Understand this: When you invite God into your life, He cancels the liabilities of your past and rewrites your future. But you must choose what God has chosen for you! There’s an interesting contrast between Paul and David. Paul lived his chapters of disobedience before he met Christ, then went on to live an exemplary life. David became king at thirty, and during his forty years in leadership experienced devastating failure, including adultery and murder. There are two important lessons here: (1) Don’t rush to judgment. It’s not over until God says it’s over! David’s story is a warning to the transgressor, a rebuke to the self-righteous, a verification of God’s justice that won’t allow you to escape your consequences, and a testimony to His love that will never let go of you. (2) God can bring good out of what seems like a bad situation. He can take every experience you’ve been through and make it work for good—either your own good or the good of others. Bottom line: He can make “all things work together for good.” There should not be fear in you if you truely born again .Fear can only give two end results as follows: Face Everything And Rise and the phase of it is Fear Everything And Run. When you face everything plus Jesus Christ in you , you already half succeeded . Do not be fearful. God bless you.
<<Have you given your life to Jesus? If No pray this confession prayer: Oh Lord Father, I have acknowledged that I have sinned against you. Please Father forgive today and I promise to sin no more. Have mercy on me and I am ready to follow you In Jesus Mighty Name . Amen .
I can see that you save : Now you need to go to Bible based church and attend fellowship regularly. Stay blessed .>>
