BECAUSE YOU PRAYED
Read Isaiah 37:21,33-38
MEMORISE
When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized; and while He prayed, the heaven was opened. (Luke 3:21)
Interestingly, God sent Prophet Isaiah, son of Amoz with this message to King Hezekiah, Thus says the LORD God of Israel, 'Because you have prayed to Me against Sennacherib king of Assyria (Note: the bold italics is for emphasis). What do you do when you're worried, threatened, discouraged, fearful and too desperate? Do you turn inward and suffer yourself, or turn them all upward to God in prayers? Note these three words in God’s message to Hezekiah -Because you prayed (Isa. 37:21 NLT). This shows us the best place to go with our anxieties. And because Hezekiah “spread it out before the LORD” in prayers (Isa. 37:14), God rescued him and his people from that brutal Assyrian King who was prepared to destroy Jerusalem.
When we turn our apprehensions into prayers, we discover that God is faithful in unanticipated ways: Therefore this is what the LORD says concerning the king of Assyria: "He will not enter this city or shoot an arrow here. He will not come before it with shield or build a siege ramp against it. By the way that he came he will return; he will not enter this city," declares the LORD. "I will defend this city and save it, for my sake and for the sake of David my servant!" The result was, And one day ... his sons smote him with the sword. Amen. Imagine God fighting your battles like that! So, take time to pray earnestly today. Spread it out before the Lord and see His wonders at work.
PRAYER POINTS:
1.Hear my prayer, O God: give ear unto my cry, hold not Your peace at my tears, and preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
2.Lord, help me to duly and fully appreciate the importance of committing everything to You in prayers.
3.Lord, restore the godly legacy of Tarrying Meeting in our churches, as it was done then, by our founding fathers/mothers.

When I was about to finish my Ph.D programme at the university, I devoted much of my time to my thesis than to reading my Bible. Every morning, I would first of all take my thesis before reading the Scripture, until one day, when I felt a touch of God in my heart, warning me to first create time for Him. I changed the order that morning. That very week, the abstract of my thesis, which I had been battling with for long, was approved. As soon as I changed the order, the favour of God followed.
In today’s passage, Prophet Jeremiah saw two things: an almond branch and a boiling pot, both of which signified judgment. It was time for God's judgment on those who neglected Him, while burning incense to other gods and bowing down for the works of men (v.16). God hates idolatry, because it shifts our focus from Him to things that He created. He created us because He wants to have fellowship with us. So spending more time chatting on your phone or aimlessly surfing the Internet than you do with God's Word is like serving the created rather than the Creator. Avert God's judgement today as you return to Him in humility of heart.

ROMANS 12:1
[ I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.] KJV.
God is a Spirit that has a capacity to be worshipped.
As a believer you have to train yourself to always speak the right words at a right time, right place, with the people and in the right way. This will make your heart glad and you will experience a deep peace of mind.
Offering your whole body to the living God as a living sacrifice of praise and worship, is actually fulfilling the purpose of your life on this earth, this guards your heart from all evil.
You were not made to eat and sleep and multiply, no! God made you to glorify Him at all times.
You have to offer your whole self, to God, a living sacrifice of praise, that is your reasonable service to Him. You have to praise Him; give Him thanks for all the good things He has done, and raising your voice of thanksgiving to Him in prayer, that is our reasonable service to Him.
Always don't forget, your spirit, soul and body, together was made to praise and glorify The Lord for all things. That is the main reason why God made you. That is what protects and guards your heart from all harm.
PRAYER

You alone are wonderful and glorious!
