The following are factors that can hinder proper growth in children;
1) Poor Feeding : When children do not eat good food or when they are not fed with breast milk, their growth may be affected.
2)Over Labour : Children who engage in hard labour cannot grow well.
3) A child that is infected with transmitted diseases such as HIV from the mother cannot grow well.
4) Illness : Children who suffer from diseases such as digestive tract disease, kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease etc cannot grow well.
5) Heredity : Children inherit some traits from their parents e.g weight colour of the eye, body structure etc such traits may tell on the physical development and growth of the children.
