Topic : DO EVERYTHING TO PLEASE GOD"

When you pray, you have the mind of Christ. Your heart has a mind. There are things you will not see until you have the Holy Spirit. One of the goals of Satan is to keep you blind to the Holy Spirit. Any labor you do for the Lord, is never in vain. One important question you should ask yourself is: "Who.in your life do you spend your time pleasing?" Other questions you may ask are: "What do you do to show them you are pleasing them? Why do you please them? What was your motivation for pleasing them?

John 8:28-29;
28. Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
29. And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him."
How you read this scripture may have a lot to do with your own experience. Those who move from one country to another country, may feel lonely and lost. You know how it feels to only have the Lord.
Matthew 6:24; "No one can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."

You can't please man and God. You will love one and hate the other. We are disciples of Christ. He is our example. We need the Star of Christ. Stars are actually out during the daytime hours but the we can't see them. Sometimes the storms in your life are so strong, the Star of Christ becomes stronger.

2 Corinthians 5:6-10;
6. Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
7. (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
8. We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
9. Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
10. For we must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad."

We must make it our aim to please God. When you aim for a target in archery or darts, you can't hit the target if you look away and lose your focus of the target. You must make it your aim to please God. No matter what, there will be some people you can't please. If you stand for God, you will be persecuted by many. The best way to please God is to obey Him. You will recall that disobedience costed king Saul his throne. Make it your aim to please God.

Matthew 7:13-14;
13. Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14. Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."

When your road is narrow, many times you have to leave somethings behind and stay focused and aimed for your destination.
