WHEN IT GETS DARK

WHEN IT GETS DARK

It takes darkness to appreciate light. In the story of creation, we see that the life cycle for complete day was evening and morning. Notice that morning followed evening and not the other way round, meaning light followed darkness. The book of Genesis is foundation to our faith and so we deduced that after darkness, light shine whether the devil likes it or not. That is God’s design.

Interestingly in the New testaments, believers are now light of the world. We are the ones to disperse darkness wherever it shows up in our world. Isaiah 60:3 says, “ And the Gentiles shall come to thy light , and kings to be brightness of thy rising   ”. Notice , “ thy light” and “thy rising” . Our light and rising are synonymous .

Some years ago, it got dark as terrorists blue the World Trade Centre in New York City with commercial airplanes killing  many people in the process. While some may gotten over the incident, the memories still linger with others. The light we represent as believers is the hope of this world. We arise and shine , therefore for our light is come and glory of God is risen upon you.

Conclusively, there is always a way out wherever it gets dark . John 6:17 says “ and it was now dark and Jesus  had not come to them.” Naturally a storm followed thus creating fear and as they rowed in fear they saw Him who is light appeared walking on the sea and the storm. He calmed their fears and immediately, they got to the land. This was no doubt a miracle. God will always show up for His own when it gets dark. Amen!
