Happy new day brethren! Never judge yourself based on a season. One season David was a shepherd, the next season he was a king. One season Ruth was working in the field, the next season she was owning the same field. One season Mordecai was sitting outside the king's palace as a guard, the next season he was inside the palace as diplomat.
We serve God of the supernatural who turn around the impossible situations. The God of unmerited favor. Just stay connected on the word of faith expectantly, knowing that the plans of God are not for killing you ,but that you influence your world with the good news of Christ and that you live your life to the full,in all success, good healthy, wealthy and peace all around your boundaries.
There are times in our lives when we need a new start in our lives. Maybe you have failed the Lord terribly through deliberate rebellion and sin. Perhaps you have drifted carelessly into the world and its ways, neglecting the things of God. You may have drifted from the close fellowship with God and His people that you once enjoyed. You need a new start and a new beginning. You wonder if it's possible. "With God all things are possible." The nation of Israel was as spiritually low as it could get.

The Northern Kingdom had fallen to the Assyrians in 722BC., after a history of idolatry. The Southern Kingdom of Judah fell in 587BC when Nebuchadnezzar destroyed Jerusalem and the temple and took the Jews into captivity in Babylon. Fifty years passed of which according to God's promise through Jeremiah 29:10-14;
10. For thus saith the LORD, that after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.
11. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an unexpected end.
12. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
13. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
14. And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive."
God stirred up the pagan king Cyrus to issue a decree permitting permitting the Jews to return to the land. 50,000 Jews responded. They gave up their lives in Babylon and risked the dangerous journey and were back in the land. The land was not what they expected. It was devastated by war.There was nothing happening to help them grow spiritually. And yet God had promised a new start. We know God's promises will always be fulfilled.
No matter who it may be, God is a God of new starts. The first thing the leader did was to build a new altar as we can see in Ezra 3:2;"Then stood up Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and his brethren the priests and Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and his brethren, and builded the altar of the God of the God of Israel, to offer burnt offerings thereon, as it written in the law of Moses the man of God."
The sight of that altar filled them with hope. They began with the altar because their fundamental need was forgiveness of sin. God designated the altar so the one bringing the offering would be accepted before the Lord. (Leviticus 1:3).
The sacrificial animals pointed to God's perfect, once for all sacrifice for sin, the Lord Jesus Christ. If you have never started with God, you must start at the Cross where Jesus the Lamb of God shed His blood to atone for sinners. "Without shedding of blood there is no remission."(Hebrews 9:22).
Faith in Christ's blood is the only way to start with God. If you are a believer, but have strayed from the Lord, then walk in obedience to God's Word. You must then join with fellow Christians and build God's house. Where you all as Christians walk together in Christ and build strong relationships with God and commit yourselves to know Him and stand against the wickedness of the world and unite with God. Christ is the only way to eternity in heaven with the Father. (John 14:6). Start with God and end with God. Don't give up on God. He will never give up on you.
