Your mistake is not bigger than God. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11). Oftentimes, I hear people say,  I’ve just blown it so many times. I had this major setback. I don’t see how I could ever get to where I’m supposed to be.”

We have to realize our mistakes aren’t that powerful. Our mistakes aren’t too big for God. He’s not up in the heavens shaking His head saying, “I never dreamed they would do that. They’ve ruined My plan.” No, God knew every mistake we would ever make. He knew every wrong turn, and He’s already prepared a new route. He already has your detour figured out.

Scripture says that God knows the end from the beginning. If you’ve made some mistakes, the good news is that He has already planned a way to get you back on track! Just come to Him with an open and humble heart. Let Him wash you clean and make you new. Your mistakes aren’t bigger than God. He loves you and has a good plan for you! God bless you.

TYPE 1: CAC LIVING WATER DAILY DEVOTIONAL.
Topic: SECOND CHANCE (II)
PREACHER : C.A.C CHURCH
Read: Romans 5:1-6

MEMORISE: Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:1)

EXPOSITION
Paul used a beautiful phrase to describe the believer's position in Christ: through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God (Romans 5:2) . This is no puddle of mercy that barely wets the toes, but rather a mighty ocean. The Lord's kindness wraps around us without regard for our past mistakes and failures.

Yesterday, we discussed the second chance we gained in Christ. In continuation, God's grace is an essential concept for believers to understand. He freely offers His favour to mankind because Jesus' sacrifice on the cross purchased forgiveness and salvation for anyone who believes. However, many people think they are enjoying God's kindness when what they are really trying to do is, earn it. If we have to purchase, merit, or work for grace, then it is not a gift *(Ephesians 2:8-9)*. The Lord is very clear that works cannot save us. In fact, He compares our good deeds to filthy rags *(Isaiah 64:6)*.

On the other hand, God's grace is not a license to be lazy; Christians are called upon to serve the Lord every day. From the outside, it is usually impossible to distinguish between works and service in someone else's life. But God knows the motivation of every heart. He is pleased by the things we do to show Him our love and to express appreciation for His countless blessings. Such actions bring glory to His name.

Keep in mind that serving God in order to earn His favour or ensure that He continues blessing you amounts to thwarting grace. You can do nothing to deserve the Lord's kindness! He pours it upon believers freely, that is why it is wise to wait on Him for total turnover.

PRAYER POINTS
1.Lord, endow me with the grace to always do things that will bring glory to Your name.
2.Lord, pour on me the power to remain steadfast in my journey to heaven.
3.Pray for the children of the ministers of the gospel who are wayward, that God should visit them with His salvation.

TYPE 2 : OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL
THEME:  TAKE CARE OFYOUR CHILDREN.
PREACHER: PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE
MEMORISE: Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds. Proverbs 27:23

READ:  Ephesians 6:1-4
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2 Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;
3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

MESSAGE
We are mandated in today’s memory verse to diligently look after our flock. The succeeding verses outline the great rewards that accrue from doing this. Proverbs 27:26-27 says,

“The lambs are for thy clothing, and the goats are the price of the field.  And thou shalt have goats' milk enough for thy food, for the food of thy household, and for the maintenance for thy maidens.”

There is something striking about these of Scripture. If taking care of animals attracts so much reward, how much more would we be rewarded when we heed God’s commandment to care for our children? Unknown to many people, one of the reasons why God decide to bless Abraham so much was Abraham’s determination to transfer his worship, fear and obedience of the Almighty to his children. Genesis 18:19 says,

“For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.”

Abraham was wise enough to see to it that not only his children but all his household servants as well knew the Lord and feared Him.

When we take time to care for our children spiritually and physically, we will be happy for it. The daughter of Pharaoh who adopted Moses made a profound statement, when she handed him over to his mother, which we should take note of. In Exodus 2:9 she said:

“…..Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give thee thy wages…...”

When we see children as the Lord’s heritage and not as our possessions, we will be careful to train them for God and not for ourselves (Psalm 127:3). When we do this, their original Owner will reward us handsomely. Proverbs 23:24-25 mentions some of these rewards:

“The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him.Thy father and thy mother shall be glad, and she that bare thee shall rejoice.”

Beloved, only children trained in the fear of the Lord will grow up to be righteous and wise. So, take care of your children by instilling the fear of the lord in them, and serve as a role model of the righteousness of God to them.

PRAYER POINT:
Father, please give me the wisdom and ability to take care of the children You put in my care to the glory of your Name.

TYPE 3 : DEVOTION TIME
TOPIC : Moses Yields to Impatience
PREACHER: MARANATH

Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.  Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name [is] in him.  Exodus 23:20,21.

"And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock; and he said unto them, Hear now, … Moses lifted up hand, and smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also. Lord spake to Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed Me not, to sanctify Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given."

Here Moses sinned. He became wearied with the continual murmurings of the people against him, took the rod, instead of speaking to the rock, as God commanded, smote it with the rod twice, after saying, "Must we fetch you water out of this rock?" He here spoke unadvisedly with his lips. He did not say,He did not ascribe the power and glory to God for causing water to again flow from the flinty rock, and therefore did not magnify Him before the people. For this failure on the part of Moses, God would     not permit him to lead the people to the Promised Land.

Moses was stirred, and in impatience and anger with the people, because of their murmurings, he said, "Hear now, ye rebels, must we fetch you water out of this rock?" In thus speaking he virtually admitted to murmuring Israel that they were correct in charging him with leading them from Egypt. God could not regard a sin in a leader of His people as in those who were led. He could not excuse the sin of Moses and permit him to enter the Promised Land.

The Lord here gave His people unmistakable proof that He who had wrought such a wonderful deliverance for them in bringing them from Egyptian bondage, was the mighty Angel, and not Moses, who was going before them in all their travels, and of whom He had said, "Behold, I send an Angel before thee, Beware of Him, and obey His voice, provoke Him not for My name is in Him." Exodus 23:20, 21.

TYPE 4 : OUR DAILY BREAD
TOPIC : ANYWHERE
PREACHER: J.R. Hudberg

Read: Jeremiah 2:1–8; 3:14–15
Bible in a Year: 2 Samuel 12–13; Luke 16

"I remember the devotion of your youth, how as a bride you loved me and followed me through the wilderness." Jeremiah 2:2

As I flipped through a box of my old wedding photographs, my fingers stopped at a picture of my husband and me, newly christened “Mr. and Mrs.” My dedication to him was obvious in my expression. I would go anywhere with him.

Nearly four decades later, our marriage is tightly threaded with love and a commitment that has carried us through both hard and good times. Year after year, I’ve recommitted my dedication to go anywhere with him.

Dear God, help me to keep the promises I've made to You. I will follow You anywhere.

In Jeremiah 2:2, God yearns for His beloved but wayward Israel, “I remember the devotion of your youth, how as a bride you loved me and followed me.” The Hebrew word for devotion conveys the highest loyalty and commitment possible. At first, Israel expressed this unwavering devotion to God, but gradually she turned away.

Despite the undeniably powerful feelings in the early stages of commitment, complacency can dull the sharp edge of love and a lack of zeal can lead to unfaithfulness. We know the importance of fighting against such a lag in our marriages. What about the fervor of our love relationship with God? Are we as devoted to Him now as we were when we first came to faith?

God faithfully allows His people to return (3:14–15). Today we can renew our vows to follow Him—anywhere.

Dear God, help me to keep the promises I’ve made to You. I will follow You anywhere. You don’t need to know where you’re going if you know God is leading.

INSIGHT
Jeremiah is sometimes known as the weeping prophet. He’s saddened by the messages God has asked him to take to the people of Israel. In essence, the Lord is asking the people of Jerusalem, “Why don’t you love me like you once did?” Sometimes familiarity can create complacency. What can we do to keep our flame of passion for the Lord burning bright?

TOPIC: BLESSED HOUSE
PRACHER : Bro J. Sam Jebadurai
"With your blessing the house of your servant will be blessed forever”(II Samuel 7:29).

God looked at David who was grazing the cattle in his youth days. As Lord blessed him, He turned into a great monarch for the whole of Israel. The reign of David was the Golden Age for Israel. Now David lives in a palace built of the Cedar trees.

On the day of his dedication, Kings of several countries, VIPs and wealthy people would have filled that house with gifts. But what was the wish of David? He eagerly prayed for the blessing of God to his house. Let your home also be filled with the presence of God, Divine Grace and Divine Mercy rather than being filled with the worldly things. There is nothing equivalent to that of the blessing of God.

Once, a woman appreciated David saying that his wisdom was greater than that of the angels. He possessed gold and silver. He had servants; he had bravery too. Even though he had all these worldly blessings, he longed for the heavenly blessings.

Peace in the family and divine joy in the mind are the greatest blessings of God. The Scripture says, “The Lord will give strength to His people; the LORD will bless His people with peace” (Psalm 29:11). “My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings and in quiet resting places” (Isaiah 32:18).

For many Indians, the United States of America is a dreamland. The people who go over there do not return. Even many servants of God are looking out whether they could settle in America itself leaving the present ministry here. But what is the truth? It is in America that many mad people live. Most of the young men and women there have disobeyed the words of their parents and have begun to lead a life with no discipline. The United States of America has ruined many Indian families; their married life has been jeopardised.

Similarly, Japan stands first where the income of the individual stands the highest. There, for every three minutes a suicide is committed. Day and night, they do all sorts of things to earn money and in turn, have ruined the blessings of God and peace in the family. But for David, the blessing of God and the peace He gives alone looked great and not the worldly blessings of wealth, money, beauty etc. Dear children of God, do you have peace in your family? If not, call Jesus, the Prince of peace, with love.

To meditate : "The blessing of the Lord makes one rich and He adds no sorrow with it” (Proverbs 10:22).

TYPE 6 : SOD TODAY.
TOPIC: THE PROFITS OF SERVING GOD
PREACHER : DR. PASTOR PAUL ENENCHE.

SCRIPTURE: I have not spoken in secret,"in a dark place of the earth": I said not unto the seed of Jacob,"Seek ye me in vain": I the Lord speak righteousness,"I declare things that are right. Isaiah 45":19

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: If you give God your attention,"He will deal with your affliction and frustration.

We were created by God to live our lives solely for Him. The major essence of life is to serve and worship God. Therefore, life is a call unto service to God.

It is, however, important to know that God does not call anyone to seek or serve Him in vain; there are profits to be gained from serving God.

Now, what are some of these benefits?
To be engaged in your major assignment for existence is to be energized and vitalized by God to fulfil that assignment. When you live to serve God by doing His assignment, He will in turn, energize and vitalize you to do that assignment. If a person will live to worship the Lord, he becomes a candidate for Divine energy and vitality. So, it is by fulfilling the purpose for which you were born that God will energise you to do more.

To serve God is to be serviced by God. To live in the service of God is to be serviced by God. The Lord promises to bless your bread and water so that you can serve Him without the distraction of sickness, poverty, etc. (Exodus 23":25). God is willing to deal with every distraction of life if a person is willing to donate himself to God in service. If you give God your attention,"He will deal with your affliction and frustration.

My counsel is, make up your mind to live your life totally in the service of God and you will be serviced by God.

Remember this": If you give God your attention,"He will deal with you affliction and frustration.

ASSIGNMENTS":
1. Give God your undivided attention in worship and service.
2. Ask God to deal with any distraction to effective service of God in your life.

PRAYER: O Lord,"I ask that You give me the grace to serve You with dedicated focus. Help me to donate my life to You totally, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

TYPE 7 : RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL
PREACHER : PASTOR CHRIS
TOPIC: THE GOOD  WORK CONTINUES

BIBLE TEXT: Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6).

When you received the Holy Spirit to live in you, He began His ministry in you. He isn’t nestling quietly in  a corner inside you; He’s at work in you. The Bible says Christ Jesus gave Himself for us, that He might purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works (Titus 2:14). What are good works? They’re works of faith; works of righteousness wrought through you by the power of the Holy Spirit.

The passion and zeal in you for good works are the result of His work in your life. He’s the One making you energetic for good works. The Bible says, “For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated  in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us...” (Ephesians 2:10 AMPC).

Now you  can understand why Paul  said, “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” That means the good work continues; you’ll always be effective and fruitful in all you do, because of the greater One at work in you.

Someone might say, “I know I’m doing very well now, but who knows what’ll happen tomorrow; I might just not do so well.” Relax! He told us when His work in you will end. It’s not next week or in two years’ time; it’s until the day of Jesus Christ; until the rapture of the Church. So you see, you’ll keep making progress; you’ll always win. Glory to God!

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for your precious Holy Spirit, who lives in me, and is at work in me, causing me to will and to do of your good pleasure. I win always; I’m  persistently fruitful and productive, bearing fruits of righteousness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
